Why is this not a hyper link?

By publishing my email address on this site I have been bombarded with over 100 "spam" emails per day, many of which are HIGHLY inappropriate for a pastors wife to receive.   

I have been trying for months to click on all of the "Click here to remove" links in these emails but every day the number of the emails grows so that is obviously not working. 

Because of this, I had to change my email address. This new address is not going to be "published" or linked in any traditional way to make it harder for the robots and spiders that the mailing lists use to locate the email address and add me to their lists.
